Circuit loop impedance- this is a test that ensures that every circuit in the installation contains cables that conduct electricity from one end to another. Insulation resistance- this is a test in which an electrician checks the insulation of all the electric cables, and ensures they are not damaged.
Polarity testing- in this test, the electrician will basically look at the apparatus connected to the circuit and make sure they are working properly.Earth loop impedance test- this is a test whose main purpose is to determine the resistance of the earth wire, and ensure that that it is not too high to impede its normal functionality in case an electric fault occurs.
Prospective short circuit test- this is a test that is done to make sure that in case a short circuit occurred, the fuses will blow, and the circuit will be cut off to mitigate further damage.
Residual current device test- this is the last test that an electrician does to make sure that all residual current devices will trip promptly in case of an electrical fault to in a bid to prevent electrocution.
